Year 11 & 12 Curriculum

The senior curriculum at Good Shepherd Catholic College is designed to offer flexibility to cater for a range of pathways that lead to success both during and after the senior phase of learning.

Designed to prepare students for their next stage in life, whether it be further study or entry into the workplace. Students are offered a challenging and diverse curriculum for the vital senior years, with a wide range of subjects accredited by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority as well as opportunities to undertake nationally-accredited vocational courses.

We offer an impressive range of accredited Senior subjects which thoroughly prepares students for university or further study. Our Senior curriculum is diverse, intellectually engaging and responsive to the needs of students in Mount Isa.

To cater for the full range of students’ abilities and interests, Good Shepherd also provides a relevant vocational curriculum. Our vocational subjects provide a smooth transition from school to work. Students may also undertake on-the-job training through School Based Traineeships, Structured Work Placement or Work Experience.

Students in our Senior School are supported to ensure they are on track to achieve a Queensland Certificate of Education or Queensland Certificate of Individual Achievement, which makes our students highly competitive in the workforce.

We are proud to provide small senior class sizes, tutorials for senior students, an excellent Queensland Core Skills Test Preparation Program, dedicated Senior Pastoral Care Coordinators and impressive Year 12 results.
